Stortorget Square

Stortorget Square is Stockholm's most attractive city square.  It is surrounded by multi-coloured buildings that date back to the middle ages.

At the centre of the cobblestone square, lies an eighteenth-century fountain.  The palatial building on the square was once used to house Sweden's stock exchange.

If you happen to visit Stockholm in December, make sure to visit the Christmas market.  It is particularly attractive in the evening when the fir tree is lit up.

Visitors to Stockholm can dine at one of the many fine restaurants located on the square.
